Chart
Set Up
- Place 4 ball marks each 1' / 2.54cm apart in a line (Noted as A, B, C, D on the chart)
- These 4 ball marks (A, B, C, D) are the gates you will be putting towards
- Using point "A" as a starting point (see chart), place ball marks at:
- 5'/ 1.52m from point "A" (Noted as "1" on the chart)
- 10' / 3.04m from point "A" (Noted as "2" on the chart)
- 20' / 6.09m from point "A" (Noted as "3" on the chart)
- 30' / 9.14m from point "A" (Noted as "4" on the chart)
- These four ball marks(1, 2, 3, 4) are points from which you will putt
- Start the drill from point 1 (See the "starting point" on chart for reference)
Goal
- From between points 1-2 the goal is to putt the ball between points A & B (1' / 30cm space)
- From between points 2-3 the goal is to putt the ball between points A & C (2' / 60cm space)
- From between points 3-4 the goal is to putt the ball between points A & D (3' / 91cm space)
Defining Successful Attempts
- A successful putt is one that finishes within the appropriate distance gates given the distance you are putting from
- After each successful putt move backwards by 6" / 15cm
- From between points "1" and "2", the ball must come to rest between points "A" & "B"
- If the ball rolls past point "B" or stops short of point "A", this is a unsuccessful attempt
Example
Drill Completion
- The drill is complete once you have successfully progressed from point "1" to point "4" in increments of 6" / 15cm
Drill Progressions
# of Attempts
- Track how many attempts it takes you to complete the drill
5 Lives
- You have a total of five lives.
- You lose one life for each unsuccessful putt
- An unsuccessful putt is defined as one that doesn't finish between the appropriate ball marks

- If you lose all five lives you fail
