Video Explanation
Equipment
- 1x Putter
- 1x Tape Measure
- 1x Golf Ball
- 9x Ball Marks / Tees
Set Up
- Identify eight different putts ranging from 5ft-10ft (1.52m-3.04m), and one from >21ft (>6.4m)
- Place a ball mark/tee on/in the ground to mark the starting position for each of the nine putts
- Establish a "penalty" that will be enforced if you fail the challenge
Goal
- Make X out of 8 putts from 5-10ft (1.52m-3.04m), while maintaining no three putts (See Benchmark section to identify how many putts should be made)
- The order of putts must be random (eg. not from short-long, or long-short)
- If you three putt at any point, you fail the challenge
- After making the required number of putts from 5-10ft (1.52m-3.04m), successfully two-putt (or better) from over 21 feet (>6.4m)
- If the 21+ foot putt is missed, you failed the challenge, and must complete the “penalty” that was decided on prior to starting the task
Benchmarks
- Level 1: Make 4/8 putts from 5-10ft (1.52m-3.04m) + 2 putt or better from over 21ft (>6.4m)
- Level 2: Make 5/8 putts from 5-10ft (1.52m-3.04m)+ 2 putt or better from over 21ft (>6.4m)
- Level 3: Make 6/8 putts from 5-10ft (1.52m-3.04m) + 2 putt or better from over 21ft (>6.4m)
Important Notes
- The difficulty of the task can be changed by adjusting the length of the putts (eg. more short putts to make it easier, more long putts to make it more challenging)
- Spread out the putts across as many holes as possible, the use of four holes in the reference chart is only an example
- Never hit two putts at the same hole if possible (move to a different hole after each putt)
